Govt. offering friendly policies to foreign investors: PM

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday said the democratic government has introduced liberal and investment-friendly policies to attract foreign investment. He expressed these views while talking to Fan Yun Jun, Chief Executive Officer of Zong, who called on him at the Prime Minister House here. Jun appreciated the telecom policy being pursued by the present government which has spurred healthy competition among the leading cellular companies. He said that Pakistan’s telecom sector has great potential and added that Zong intended to expand the reach of its operations in Pakistan. The Prime Minister said the government greatly valued Zong’s contribution to Pakistan’s development and economic progress. The Prime Minister reiterated the commitment and resolve of his government of taking every possible measure to provide maximum security and protection to the foreign investors.
