Mobilink Foundation celebrated “Pakistan Day” by conducting a clean-up activity on Trail3 of the Margalla Hills in Islamabad. The activity involved nearly 150 participants, including Mobilink Torchbearers (employee volunteers), their families and students from the Pehli Kiran Schools.
The environment friendly activity was aimed at promoting the need to preserve Pakistan’s natural habitats. The activity also marked Mobilink Foundation’s dedication to promoting a healthier lifestyle, with Mobilink employees and their families participating in the clean-up of Trail 3 from the base all the way to the top of the Margalla Hills.The initiative promoted national identity and pride through the participation of students from the Pehli Kiran School network for the trek as a means of including them in the celebrations of Pakistan Day and providing them an opportunity to participate in an outdoor activity.

Mobilink Foundation remains committed to preserving the natural environment of Pakistan, and this activity is a continuation of an on-going drive to clean the various trekking trails of the Margalla Hills. As a result of the close proximity of the Hills to Islamabad, trekking has become a regular activity for many residents of the Twin Cities, and such clean-up activities are essential to preserve the natural beauty of these Hills.
