Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has launched a comprehensive top-end leadership program for its junior and middle managers.
Themed ‘FueL: Future Leaders Program’, the initiative is aimed at developing a strong leadership pipeline, which can effectively and efficiently meet the current and future strategic business requirements of the company. The output of this two-year program will feed into the Leadership Excellence Program, targeting the top management, thus providing adequate bench strength for PTCL’s future leadership requirements.
The programs offers the participants a rich blend of developmental interventions and activities including experiential learning; educational courses at reputed institutes; networking with internal and external management experts for broadening learning horizons.
Syed Mazhar Hussain, PTCL Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP), HR while highlighting the key aspects of the program said that “through this program PTCL HR will be able to unleash the hidden potential of the committed and passionate employees of the company. The exercise further provides a platform to polish the leadership skills of these high performers, enabling them to gear up for the challenging future endeavors at PTCL”.
The program also offers an attractive opportunity to the future leaders for gaining exposure and recognition by working on cross-functional business assignments and presenting their innovative solutions for the company’s progression.
The launch ceremony of the program was attended by the top management of PTCL along with the twenty five junior and middle managers, selected through a highly competitive and rigorous process.
The launch ceremony was coupled with a two day kick-off developmental activity which focused on the critical objective of molding the future leaders. All the functional heads also shared the strategic priorities of their respective functions and initiatives being undertaken for materialization of the company’s vision at the occasion.
