ISLAMABAD
Establishment division appointed three members and Chairman among from them in Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to compliance supreme court order. Mr Tariq Sultan And Mr Syed Ismail Shah appointed as Member Finance and Member Technical. Mr. justice (Retd) Muhammad Raza Khan Secretary Law , justice and Human Rights is assigned Additional Charge of the post of Member (Compliance and Enforcement) Mr. Syed Ismail Shah and Mr. Tariq Sultan appointed in terms of Section 3 (2) and (7) of Pakistan Telecommunication ( Re –Organization ) Act , 1996. Mr. Justice (Retd) Muhammad Raza Kahn and Acting chairman did not clear under what law Establishment Division appointment them in PTA.
Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-Organization ) Act , 1996 has no provision to appointment acting chairman. Federal Secretary who has been given additional charges is not authorized under the Telecom Act 1996 because same case here that there is no provision for such appointment.
