U Microfinance Bank Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) and a sister concern of PTML(UFone) was awarded the ‘Best Bank led Mobile Money’ global award at the prestigious Mobile Money Global Awards 2013 in Dubai, UAE.
The award was bestowed for successful launch of ‘UPaisa’, a joint venture between Ubank and Ufone on November 6, 2013 at Dubai, UAE. The award was received by Arif Sirhindi, President & CEO Ubank.
‘UPaisa’ utilizes state of art technology platforms, for facilitating branchless banking transaction of fund remittances and utility bills payment. The bank successfully implemented the new system in the shortest time creating history for fastest implementation of a fully functional banking application system in financial services industry of Pakistan.
