Minister of State for IT, Ms. Anusha Rahman visited the high-tech IT center established at National Assembly accompanies by the senior management of Ministry of IT.
While talking to the media she said that its one of the priorities of the government to implement E-office system to improve efficiency and ensure efficacy in the government institutions.
The Minister further stated that E-office system would play a pivotal role in bringing transparency and will put a check on corrupt practices which are badly affecting the performance of government machinery.
The Minister for IT also reviewed the performance of the E-office installed at National Assembly and also browsed through different E-files which were being maintained there.
The Minister said that it is dire need of the hour to move towards less paper environment, so that we could enhance the pace of work to get efficiency and remove impediments in the way of smooth functioning of the institutions. She expressed confidence that E-office system will play important role in bringing effectiveness and transparency to achieve the targets of good governance.
