Mobilink Foundation set up an ICT Lab at Petaloid Secondary School and Girls College, Kahna-Nau Lahore. The lab has been equipped with 10 latest branded computers with licensed operating system, Office Suit, network printer and scanning facility. The computers were handed over by Mobilink Foundation team to Directors of Punjab Education Foundation including Nadeem Masood, Aisha Nauman and Qasim Muneer in presence of school faculty.
Omar Manzur Head of Corporate Communication, Mobilink commenting on the initiative said, “Mobilink has been working consistently over the past years to play its part in bridging the digital divide in the communities we operate in. Mobilink Foundation firmly believes that literacy through contemporary communication channels can have a lasting impact on provision of education for the marginalized. Our partnership with PEF ensures that our efforts reach deserving communities and provide maximum assistance to those in need.”
Petaloid Secondary School and Girls College is working under the umbrella of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF), to provide free education to the poor and deserving students of Kahna-Nau. The Petaloid ICT lab has been equipped with ten latest computers along with digital printing and scanning machines. These advanced computers will enable the students to learn the operations and methodologies in the field of Information-technology. In the past Mobilink Foundation has set up ICT labs at Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (AJK), Development in Literacy (KalashaKaku, Sheikhupura) and Janjua Secondary School (Chakwal).
