Zong, Pakistan’s fastest growing and most advanced Telecom operator has a key focus on its highly skilled human resource. Keeping in view the need to expand and bring in fresh minds the HR team recently visited the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi to participate in their recruitment events as a means of developing a nexus between the academic and the corporate world.
HR representatives met with a considerable number of participants in the IBA Career Fair as well as one-on-one sessions at the LUMS Networking Night.
The Zong team discussed the Graduate Trainee Program, which is an initiative to help nurture fresh graduates and helps groom each candidate in various areas within the organization. Over 150 graduate trainees have been hired over the last 2 years and today each of these trainees is a key member within the organization. Other prospective career opportunities along with the working culture and industry dynamics were discussed with the attending students.
