As per instructions of Pakistan Telecom Authority to de-link all SIMs that were not verified or were disowned by consumers, telecom companies have submitted their records on last Friday 10th July 2015. This record will be handed to PMD which will oversee the de-linking process where 98.3 million SIMs that will longer be attached to any CNIC.
Pakistan Telecom Authority has decided that all SIMs that were not verified or were disowned by consumers will be permanently stuck from the records after 12 July. The number of SIMs that were not verified or disowned amount to 98.3 million. These SIMs will no longer be attached to any CNIC as well.
Earlier this was revealed to TelecoAlert.com by a source within PTA. It must be stated here that Telenor had the highest number of SIMs that were not verified or were disowned which is 36.9 million. They are followed by Mobilink with the number of 22.3 million SIMs.
