On the direction of Punjab Chief Minster Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, provincial government has launched an SMS service to warn people living in areas near rivers in advance. According to Media.
In a statement issued from Lahore today, Chief Minister said that this SMS service has been started for ensuring timely evacuation of all people.
He directed to monitor the water flow of all rivers round the clock and take every possible protective measure to tackle any eventuality.
The Chief Minister also directed the Cabinet Committee for Flood and administration of districts concerned to take all possible steps regarding the ongoing relief activities.
