The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has first time introduced new ‘one day work from home’ policy in a week for its women workers in line with other countries, including the US, to improve output and capability of workers both in official and private sectors.
The PTA has introduced the system of telenet in this regard. According to PTA officials, this policy has been introduced for the authority’s women officers and staff.
In the first phase, women having minor children will perform their one-day official work in a week from home.
They will be provided with automated telecommunication-networking facility which includes emails, online portal, and other data resources.
The officers, supervisors and other staff will get video conferencing facility at homes for official communication and finishing the job on time. The male officers will be offered this facility after its success.
