Police has registered an First Information Report (FIR) No, 49/2016 under section 7-Anti Terrorism Act (ATA), Official Secret Act-1923, Sec-4, Telephone & Telegraph Act-1885 (25), 420, 506/34 at Police Station Aziz Bhatti against the Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authorith (PTA), the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the Director PTCL, Khalid Butt, the Divisional Engineer (DE) phones, Gulshan Exchange, M. Furqan, Head Customer Care Kafil Qureshi and other PTA and PTCL officials on the basis of severe allegations and heinous crimes including to run the Daesh/ISIL network through a subscriber namely S. Jaffer Abbas Jafri’s landline number and misuse of his DSL/Internet.
According to details a complaint was forwarded to the higher authorities in which the complainant claimed that his telephone number 02134810694 on which an internet service also provided is being misused by some unknown culprits whereas, the subscriber has registered hundreds of written complaints and forwarded thousands of emails including informed to PTCL, PTA and all other concerned authorities through online procedure and intimated to the officials during personal visits and meetings but neither any action was taken nor the concerned authorities realized even to listen to complainant’s grievance hence, when the subscriber try to use his number, he and his family members found some persons those were usually being talked in Uzbic, Tajic, Arabic, Pashto, Punjabi and other languages. The high police officials took the action yesterday and ordered to Station House Officer (SHO) namely Shokat of PS Aziz Bhatti to register an FIR and take further action against all culprits involved.
