After the successful merger between Mobilink and Warid, eight department heads have been given 90 days’ notice. This was conveyed to them through an official letter issued by Mobilink.
During these 90 days, they are going to work with Mobilink as advisors and will report to their respective heads including the CEO Warid, Muneer Farooqui will report to Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Mobilink.
Their future will be decided during these 90 days. It remains to be see whether they will be kept on by Mobilink or let go at the end of 90 days. Apart from these eight department heads, other key individuals within Warid will see their future decided within these 90 days.
Though the merger was seen a success by Mobilink, it also has a dark side as many employees will see themselves without a job
