Ministry of Information Technology has established Computer Labs at Sweet Homes run by Pakistan Baitulmal wide across Pakistan. These Labs were inaugurated on the eve of August 14th, commemorating the Pakistan Independence Day by renewing the foundation pledge of inclusiveness for all sections of society. The inauguration ceremonies held at Kohat, Mardan, Manshera, Attock, Karachi, Nawabshah, Quetta, Dipalpur, Gujrat, Sargodha were attended by people from various segments of society.
While inaugurating the Computer Labs at these centers, the Parliamentarians have thanked Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and Minister for IT, Madam Anusha Rahman for providing long lasting, invaluable gift to the children of these sweet homes who could benefit from the fruits of digital era at their very early stage to become potential contributor of economy. They have expressed that these labs would go a long way in creating a Digital Culture in these centers by providing an enabling environment for the growth of Pakistan.
Minister for IT, Mrs. Anusha Rahman said, “In alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, PML (N) Government is committed towards an all inclusive society. We are aiming at providing digital infrastructure for all segments of society. Our objective of digital acceleration is fast gaining its desired results. We intend to reach the benefits of digital growth to all segments of society so that they could contribute their best for the uplift of Pakistan. Through technological capacity building, the children of sweet homes shall prove to be great asset for the economic engine of the country.”
