Pakistan Custom Collector has summoned Pakistan Mobile Communication Ltd. ( MOBILINK ) to appear in person or through their accredited representative in Custom House Karachi. The case is fixed for hearing on 28th October 2016. Mobilink has not paid custom duty amounting to Rs. 56,973,264/- and its sales tax which amounts to Rs. 9,685,455/-. The company has also not paid the additional tax amounting to Rs. 1,709,198/-. This brings the total to Rs. 71,850,248/-.
Custom Collector Ch. Mohammad Javaid summoned Mobilink to appear in case fixed for 28th October 2016 at 11.00 AM.
The company or his agent may submit their written replies, if any. The importer/clearing agent may also appear in person or through their accredited representative on stipulated date and time at Customs Home Karachi.
In case no one appears on behalf of the importer/clearing agent or no written reply is received by stipulated date, the case will be decided by experts on merit as per available record.
