ISLAMABAD (TELECOLAERT)
Cellular phone service was suspended in Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Wednesday morning in connection with the preparation of Pakistan Day.
Due to the phone service closure, people have been facing immense problem in contacting each other.
According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the cellular service will be restored by 2:30. The service suspension comes after Islamabad High Court division bench overturned an earlier verdict of the court that had declared the closure of phone service illegal and void.
People have taken exception to the closure of phone service saying security should not take a toll on their daily routine activities.
