The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken notice of grave complaint by the public that an unreasonable and high amount of tax/other charges are being deducted from the topping up of the balance through easy load and calling cards (besides taxing on the calls).
Taking notice of the issue the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan has issued notice to the Attorney General for Pakistan to explain on the next date of hearing as to how much and what amount is being deducted or taxed on a calling card/easy load of Rs. 100/. Besides, that Federal Board of Revenue and all the Mobile Phone Companies in Pakistan have also been issued notices to explain the same. The matter has been fixed for hearing before a regular Bench on 08.05.2018.
