Alongside the main tournament, there were also different console, arcade, and mobile gaming competitions for different participants. The competition was preceded by a trophy unveiling ceremony. Other sponsors of the event included Wowbox, Chowkey, Gamebox, Koyal, Goonj, and My Telenor App.
GameBird is the first gaming brand of the country that connects developers and gaming enthusiasts to boost and vitalize the gaming ecosystem in Pakistan. In order to bring greater enablement to online players, GameBird recently introduced redeemable STEAM Wallet Codes in Pakistan through which users can make in-game purchases on STEAM through their mobile balance. The service is currently available for Telenor users only.
“We congratulate teams Eximious Gold and Portal E-Sports on winning the country’s biggest PC gaming tournament and taking home the coveted trophy,” said Durdana Achakzai, Chief Digital Officer at Telenor Pakistan. “Being the top proponent of digital technology and innovation, we at Telenor Pakistan are supporting and nurturing Pakistan’s unmatched talent in the online gaming space. To that end, we also recently hosted Pakistan’s first game summit in Lahore where the top talent of the world’s gaming community converged to share thoughts and learnings on game creation and monetization. Through more of such measures, we will continue to support the Pakistani gaming landscape while providing our youth with robust platforms to showcase their talent.”
