In line with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan, top priority is being accorded to overseas Pakistanis, in order to provide maximum assistance especially to those in distress. As a result, prison sentence of 63 Pakistani prisoners detained on minor drug related cases in Riyadh jail has been waived off on the orders of his highness King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the efforts of Pakistan Mission, Riyadh, MOFA, M/o OP&HRD/OPF. Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has made all arrangements to bring them back (in coordination action with all stakeholders) and to receive them at Islamabad International Airport by a special flight of PIA PK 9728 on 20.07.2021 so that they can celebrate Eid with their families. Talking on this occasion, Spokesperson of OPF said that Overseas Pakistanis are the top most priority of the present government and all possible efforts are being made to provide maximum facilities to expatriates and their dependents. He termed Pakistani expatriates as roaming ambassadors and an asset of the country. He said that OPF is providing services for Overseas Pakistanis and their dependents in different walks of life besides resolution of their issues and problems. Talking on this occasion, the returnee Pakistani expatriates expressed their gratitude to Saudi Govt. and Prime Minister of Pakistan for bringing them back to their home. They also thanked OPF for making arrangements for their return.
