Former National Bank vice-president gets 4-year jail for corruption

An accountability court in Lahore on Friday awarded four-year jail to a former senior officer of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) for committing corruption of millions of rupees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court also awarded Usman Saeed, a former NBP vice-president, Rs10 million fine and disqualified him from holding any government office for 10 years.
Accountability Court judge Azizullah Kallo pronounced the verdict against Usman Saeed in connection with a NAB reference against him.
The judge also ordered the authorities concerned to sell the convict’s lands to recover the Rs10 million fine.
