Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has warned the unity government to give him the date for fresh elections or “the ocean of people that is coming to Islamabad will wash away everything”. The ex-PM said that the US had threatened Pakistan with dire consequences if the no-confidence motion against him would not succeed. He revealed he had informed every quarter concerned about the “foreign conspiracy” to act against it, but in vain. He lamented that he could not foil this “foreign plot” as it had the support of “local handlers”.
“I am giving you warning if you don’t give us election date, the ocean of people coming to Islamabad will blow you away,” he said while addressing a massive public gathering in Mardan on Friday.
Calling former prime minister Nawaz Sharif the “biggest coward he has seen in his entire life”, Imran Khan said that he cannot make decisions of the nation by sitting in London. “Only people of this country have that right… they will decide who will lead them,” he added.
Lashing out at JUI-F Amir Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Imran Khan said that he has snatched the ministry which will fetch him the most money. “I am not calling Fazlur Rehman a maulana as I respect clerics a lot … I am only calling him diesel now,” he added.
Asking people to break the “shackles of fear” and join him in Islamabad, the former premier said that despite campaigns against him in the media, the Almighty gave him honour and proof of it is the people coming to this rally. “These US slaves will never let this nation become a great nation.”
The PTI chief said he went to those who could’ve stopped the “conspiracy” from materialising but they did nothing. “I told them if this succeeds, economy will go into tailspin… I sent Shaukat to those who call themselves neutral but unfortunately they did not stop it.”
The former PM said that the rupee is now at almost Rs200 and the economic downfall can be witnessed by everyone.
He questioned why the media now is not going door-to-door and asking people about inflation. “I know who is part of this conspiracy…. each face is saved in my memory. I want Chief Justice of Supreme Court to form a commission and ask them to find out about the traitors,” he added.
Imran Khan said that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will go to the US only to beg in front of the Americans. “He will not be able to take any stand against them as they know where his money is… he will only beg for money but I know Americans the best… they will say there is no free lunch… they will put a price on it and what will be the price? It will be your freedom,” he added.
The PTI chief said that the US will ask Pakistan to give statements against Russia and in favour of Ukraine. “They asked me but I said it is not our war. When slaves are in power, they will do whatever their masters say,” he added.
Imran Khan said that transparent elections cannot take place under the current chief election commissioner. “The entire nation knows who the lotas are but only the chief election commissioner cannot see them,” he added.
The PTI chairman said he was calling people to Islamabad for a “revolution” that sought “real independence” for Pakistan.
“From here, I am giving a message to the corrupt thugs […] and the convict should also hear this: You will not make decisions for the country, but citizens will decide who will rule Pakistan,” Khan said.
The PTI chairman reiterated the United States had “conspired” against his regime, while the current government’s “Mir Sadiqs and Mir Jafars” were involved in it.
Imran Khan said when he came to know about the “conspiracy” then he went to the “people who could stop it. “I told them that if this conspiracy succeeds, then our economy will falter given its current condition.”
The ex-prime minister said he asked former finance minister Shaukat Tarin to tell those who “call themselves neutral” that the economy will collapse, but unfortunately, they did not stop it.
“The dollar is nearing Rs200, the stock market is plunging, everything is becoming expensive […] the media should ask the people how expensive things are as they would do during our government,” Khan said.
Later on Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Friday claimed that he and former finance minister Senator Shaukat Fayaz Ahmed Tarin had warned the “neutrals” that the “fragile economic recovery would go into a tailspin” if the conspiracy against the PTI government succeeded.
Taking to Twitter, Imran Khan said: “Rupee at all time low Rs193/$ (from Rs178 on March 8); interest rates at 15 per cent highest since 1998, stock market down 3,000 points or 6.4pc; stock market lost Rs604 billion capitalisation; inflation 13.4pc highest since Jan 2020.”
He went on to say that the numbers reflected the “lowest-ever confidence in the imported government”.
“Market awaiting policy and action which imported government has failed to provide. Both myself and Shaukat Tarin had warned the ‘neutrals’ that if [the] conspiracy succeeded, our fragile economic recovery would go into a tailspin,” he said.
