Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that the nation will not forgive former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan if a civil war broke out in the wake of his party’s ‘Azadi March’ on Islamabad. Shehbaz Sharif said that no sensible person could use the words, which were used by Imran Khan two days ago.
“Imran Niazi wants civil war but let me tell you the nation will not forgive you… it will be your collar and people’s hand,” Shehbaz Sharif said while addressing the media at Lahore’s Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI). He said that it is misunderstanding of Imran Khan that he could start civil war in the country, adding that Pakistani masses will catch his collar. He said that the country was established by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and was established by hundreds and thousands of Muslims after rendering sacrifices, adding that millions of Muslims migrated to Pakistan from Hindustan. He said that Pakistan will remain intact forever, adding that there will be democracy in the county and country will move forward.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan used National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to victimise his political opponents and he will have to pay for all his actions.
“Imran Niazi was only focused on putting people in prison. He used to dictate NAB. He directed Shahzad Akbar to make Shehbaz Sharif sleep on the floor in prison. He has no sympathy for humanity and cannot address the problems of the people,” he added.
The prime minister said that NAB was unable to prove a single pennyworth corruption against him, adding that he wished the PTI government had paid more attention to the miseries of people rather than seeking ‘revenge’.
“They did not have time for taking decisions that would bring prosperity for the people as they were so busy [seeking revenge]. PTI promised five million houses but could not even build a single one. Rather than providing jobs, PTI snatched jobs from many.”
Shehbaz Sharif said that despite being in power for just a few weeks, his government was able to bring down the prices of wheat and sugar.
“Three years of this hospital were wasted just because of the stubbornness of Imran Niazi… Imran Niazi, this nation will not forgive you. The people who could not be treated will curse you as many lost their loved ones because they could not get treated,” he added.
Talking about PKLI, Shehbaz Sharif said that the mentor of the hospital, Dr. Saeed Akhtar has retuned back as Chairman Board of Governors PKLI. Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Dr. Saeed Akhtar for returning back with honour.
Shehbaz Sharif announced that 50 percent of patients will be treated free of cost. “These will be white-collar people who cannot afford expensive treatment abroad and will be given preference,” he added.
He further said that the nursing university will be completed within a year. “It should have been completed a lot earlier but nothing was done for it during the last three years,” he further said.
PM Shehbaz Sharif says country will progress, if democracy prevails in the country. He said that the previous government remained busy in political vendetta instead of completing development works.
The Prime Minister regretted that a welfare project of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute worth Rs 20 billion was ceased just for political revenge. He said the former chief justice of at that time and again visited the PKLI and inquired where Rs 20 billion was spent, adding that instead of all out efforts of NAB not a single rupee corruption was proved but the hospital was destroyed.
Shehbaz Sharif said that hospital will provide paid medical facilities to opulent class and funds generated from the treatment of rich people will be utilized for the free medical treatment of patients belonging to the underprivileged class.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Imran Khan had promised to construct 5 million hoses but not single brink was installed, adding that Imran Khan had promise to provide 10 million jobs but instead of providing 10 million jobs, hundreds and thousands of people become jobless during the tenure of Imran Khan. Shehbaz Sharif said that in 2018 during the first session of the National Assembly he had offered to sign charter of economy but his offer was rejected arrogantly. He said that Imran Niazi has brought Pakistan at the verge of the destruction and he has to pay the price.
