Former naib emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Professor Khursheed Ahmed has said that there is need of changing the economic policy for brining the country out of economic crisis.

In his video message during the consultative meeting of the JI regarding the economic crises facing by the country here in Islamabad on Thursday, Professor Khursheed Ahmed said that Pakistan is facing severe economic crisis and every field of country is facing demotion.

Professor Khursheed Ahmed said that the country is facing the economic problems from last many years, adding that for the resolution of these problems there is need to form a new economic policy through consultation. It is worth mentioning here that Professor Khursheed Ahmed is present in Britain and ill these days.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that we want to bring the country out of economic crisis as the country could not be run on the charity of International Monetary Fund (IMF). He said that big circuit houses, prime minister, chief minister, governors and houses of big bureaucrats should be sold and money should be deposited in the national exchequer. He said that until and unless the perks and privileges of the rulers are not ended the country could not come out of the economic crisis.

This was states by Emir JI Pakistan Sirajul Haq while addressing the national dialogue titled “Current Economic Crisis and its Solution” organized by JI in Islamabad on Thursday. He said that the effort to bring out the our nation from economic slavery is jehad, adding that from chowkidar to prime minister all are acknowledging that the country is facing crisis, adding that economic experts are saying the country is near default. He said that chairman FBR confessed fall of economy, adding that the problem is simple the expenditure is more and income is less. He said that the government has only one solution that if the income is less then take loan and should take more loan for the payment of the debts.

Sirajul Haq said that if today 20 thousand children have born they are indebted, adding that the people of past are responsible, adding that we have again reached in the decade of 1990s. He said that currently during the tenure of the PDM government the economy has been destroyed and in past the economy was destroyed during the tenure of PTI, adding that due to their fighting there is economic and social crisis.

Sirajul Haq said that inflation and unemployment is increasing, adding that fleeing of the businessmen from the country is a big destruction. He said that due to excessive increase in the prices of petrol, gas, electricity and eatable commodities the lives of the masses have become difficult. He said that on the one hand the poor people are dying due to poverty but on the other hand the government ministers are laughing, adding that the masses are being asked to decrease use of sugar and decrease one cup of tea, adding that whether the government has only this solution of economy. Sirajul Haq said that he agrees with the statement of Shehbaz Sharif that beggars can not be choosers, adding that PTI and PDM have made the nation beggar. He said that all the finance ministers including Asad Umar, Hammad Azhar, Hafeez Shaikh, Shaukat Tarin and Miftah Ismail bowed before the door of IMF, adding that some of them are even the representatives of IMF. He said that the solution of the economic problem is neither bullet nor abuse. He said that the loan is an atomic bomb and its result is that after sometime the rulers will say the national assets should be sold and then they will be ready to give the nuclear assets. He said that the work on mini budget has been started and in next two phases the petrol price per liter will be taken to Rs 300.

During the consultative meeting Naib Emir JI Pakistan Dr. Farid Ahmed Piracha, financial expert Dr. Farrukh Saleem, SDPI Chief Dr. Abid Qaiyum Sulehri, former special assistant to PM and former finance secretary Dr. Waqar Masood Khan, Dr. Shaida Wizarat, economic expert Jawad Majid Khan, Dr. Hussain Ahmed Piracha, Hafiz Akif Saeed, Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, former vice president Islamabad chambers and commerce and industry Zafar Bakhtawari, Syed Naseer Ahmed Gillani, Dr. Atique Zafar, Dr. Aziz Nishtar, Professor Khursheed Ahmed, Dr. Khaqan Najeeb, Kanat Khalilullah, former chairman tariff commission Abbas Haider presented suggestions regarding the economy. Meanwhile Naib Emir JI Mian Muhammad Aslam, JI Member National Assembly Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali, Dr. Kausar Firdous, Attique Zafar, Qaisar Imam Advocate, Professor Dr. Asif Ali, Professor Athar Rauf, Khalid Iqbal, Dr. Mian Muhammad Akram and others were also present on the occasion.
