Minister of State for Petroleum Mossadegh Malik while talking to FPCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that due to the sudden trip of the electricity system, a crisis has arisen in the entire system, which efforts to resolve continued till evening. Expressing regret over the losses due to the power crisis, he also expressed the apology of the government of Pakistan to the business community of Pakistan.
Addressed the President of FPCCI Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Minister of State Musdiq Malik said that we have made progress towards solving the problems mutually and he will be visiting FPCCI very soon for a meeting. He said that efforts will also be made to increase the continuity of dialogue. On this occasion, FPCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that not only the activities of the industrial, commercial and service sectors were completely affected by the recent power crisis, but they also faced large-scale losses and production and productivity, due to the shutdown, we have lost around 400 billion rupees and this estimate needs to be looked at further.
Irfan Iqbal Sheikh further said that this loss is in these circumstances, while daily industry and trade are seeing themselves forced concerning huge losses and cannot afford any more. He further said that FPCCI should be taken into confidence for the correctness of the country’s economy and consultation with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry should be ensured while making government economic decisions and policies.
