Pakistan – Russian Business Forum organized by TDAP, Ministry of Commerce in the collaboration with FPCCI on the sideline of the 8th session of the Pakistani-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation at Islamabad. The Russian delegation includes about 15 business companies including the representatives of the Moscow Chambers of Commerce and Industry. In his welcome address Mr. Amin Ullah Baig, Vice President of FPCCI & Incharge of the Capital Office, said that there is a huge trade and investment potential between Pakistan and Russia. “Enhancing economic trade and investment relations is a prime priority of Pakistan. Mr. Mohsin Sheikh Chairman of FPCCI Pakistan Russia Business Forum said that Russia valued its relations with Pakistan and both countries had a “good level of cooperation and aimed to enhance it further.” He said there is a “great potential between both economies that needed to be explored more. In his brief presentation, he said that we need trade routes to Central Asia and in this respect, we have been discussing with Russians to sign an MoU with their NGO to move forward. He emphasizes and advocates barter trade with Russia and currency swap agreement ” Mr. Ahsan Ali Mangi, Additional Secretary (Trade Diplomacy) Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Naseer DG TDAP Islamabad, President Moscow Chamber, Chairman Russia Pakistan Business Forum & others have also shared their views on the occasion.
