Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s remittances (home remittances) have crossed a record high of Rs 4.6 billion due to the strong confidence of expatriate Kashmiris and effective strategy of the institution. After RIA and Money Gram, due to the recent agreement with Western Union, remittances are increasing. In 2019, remittances were only Rs. 80 crore. President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Mr. Khawar Saeed, while presiding over a review meeting, said that after 2019, remittances have increased by about 4 billion rupees. This increase in remittances is the highest ever since the bank’s inception, which is a reflection of the strong confidence of overseas expatriate customers in the bank. The bank is achieving other business goals while expanding the business network. The state financial institution is achieving business goals with the help of AJK Government, especially the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the supervision of the Bank president Mr. Khawar Saeed, with the support of the customers.
