Ministry of Finance has decided to release 30 billion rupees to PSO during this week. According to sources in the Ministry of Finance, 5 billion rupees have been released to SNGPL for payments to PSOs, the remaining 25 billion rupees for subsidy to domestic consumers and fertilizer plants will also be released this week. Sources say that SNGPL will immediately pay Rs 30 billion to the PSO as soon as it is received, the subsidy to Ghoilo consumers and fertilizer plants is included in the budget allocation. Sources in the Ministry of Finance have also informed that the federal cabinet will decide next week to give two power plants to PSO to reduce the revolving debt. After the approval of the federal cabinet, the controlling stake of both power plants will be given to PSO, the shares of the power plants will be given to PSO, and the revolving debt of the gas sector will be reduced by 100 billion rupees. The Commission has prepared the summary in consultation with the Ministry of Finance and Energy.
