The federal cabinet has approved the increase in the prices of 146 essential life-saving medicines. The meeting was informed by the Ministry of National Health and DRAP that through the online portal of DRAP, citizens can file complaints regarding the non-availability of medicines in the market. The meeting was informed by the Ministry of National Health and DRAP that through the online portal of DRAP, citizens can file complaints regarding non-availability of medicines in the market. Speaking to the participants of the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the government is taking all possible steps to provide medicines to the common man at a reasonable price. He further said that the government is framing such policies which will benefit the common man and also develop the pharmaceutical industry. The Prime Minister directed that suggestions should be made to further improve the performance of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan. The Prime Minister directed that recommendations should be made for the necessary legislation regarding the deregulation of drug prices so that the next elected government could present these recommendations in the Parliament .
