On Saturday, a court in Korawalpindi pronounced a safe verdict against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the case of marriage in Eid, and sentenced both of them to seven years in prison and a fine of 5 lakhs. The senior civil judge of the court established in Adiala Jail, Qudratullah, delivered the verdict, which was reserved for the night, in the presence of the accused. Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Manika filed an application for action against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi on marriage in Eid. On Thursday and Friday, the witnesses were cross-examined during a ten-hour hearing held in Adiala Jail. During the hearing, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi recorded 342 statements in the courtroom.
