Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi reached Karachi along with his delegation on the last leg of his tour of Pakistan.

The visiting President was accorded warm welcome at the airport by Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other dignitaries.

Later, the Iranian President visited Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi. The visiting dignitary laid floral wreath at the Mazar, offered fateha and paid tribute to the great leader of Pakistan for his leadership skills.

Meanwhile Iranian President Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi says Pakistan and Iran are keen to develop centers of arts and learning besides promotion of arts and sciences.

Addressing students and faculty at Government College University in Lahore, he said it is need of the hour to pay special attention to arts, sciences and technology to shine among the comity of nations.

President Raisi said that universities should be centers of learning and research and a comprehensive strategy in the education sector may pay dividends.

On Allama Iqbal, the Iranian President said the poetry of Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal enjoys special acceptance in Iran. He said Pakistan and Iran maintain the same stance on Palestine issue.

Dr. Raisi said Iran would further enhance its cooperation with Pakistan in the energy and other sectors.

The Iranian President thanked Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the cordial hospitality during his visit.

During his visit to Pakistan, Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi arrived in Lahore from Islamabad and visited Mazar-e-Iqbal. Upon his arrival in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz welcomed Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi at

Allama Iqbal International Airport. Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Provincial Information Minister Uzma Bukhari also accompanied him. Apart from this, Provincial Ministers Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Bilal Yasin, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, Chaudhry Shafi Hussain, Chief Secretary and IG Punjab, Iranian Consul General Mehran posted in Lahore. Mowahidfar and others were present on this occasion, Iranian President shook hands with provincial ministers and government officials. Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi visited Allama Iqbal’s mausoleum where he laid flowers and recited Fatiha. Later, he also recorded his comments in the guest book. Speaking to the media at Mazar Iqbal, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said that Allama Iqbal showed a new way to the Muslim Ummah, as he was proud of his nation. Well, we are also proud of our nation, we are very proud of our Mujahideen. He said that our supreme leader also says the same, Gaza and Palestine will be among the winners in this war, the destruction of Zionists and Israelis in this war. He appreciated Pakistan’s role on the principled stand on Gaza. He added that he did not feel alienated when he came to Pakistan. He wished that he would have addressed the public gathering in Pakistan. The main roads of the city are decorated with welcome banners.

There is significant scope for expansion and development of relations between the two countries, the Iranian president said

President of Iran Ibrahim Raisi has said that I, on behalf of the leader of the Islamic Revolution and the great nation of Iran, greet the people of Pakistan who always defend Islam, Islamic values, the oppressed of Palestine and the right and justice. I do. In his tweet on X, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said that due to the commonalities between Iran and Pakistan, there is an important scope for expansion and promotion of relations between the two countries.

Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman holds meeting with Iranian President

 Governor Punjab Engineer Mian Muhammad Balighur Rehman held a meeting with Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday.

Welcoming President Raisi to Lahore, he underlined the deep historical, cultural and civilizational links between Pakistan and Iran.

President Raisi praised the city of Lahore for its beauty and cultural contribution and expressed a desire for enhanced people-to-people contacts with the people of Pakistan.

Later, the Governor hosted a luncheon in honour of the distinguished guest and his delegation.
