ICCI  has always worked for the industry and academia linkages

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry  has always worked for the industry and academia linkages and would continue to do so in future as well for the betterment of the youth and for the economic wellbeing of the country.

This has been stated by President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari while addressing as chief guest at the closing ceremony of 1st RWU- IDEA FEST-24, an inter-Universities competition held at Rawalpindi Women University on Tuesday.

He emphasized that entrepreneurs can play a vital role in the development by taking a moderate amount of risk that entrepreneurship has its importance in the corporate sector as well as social sector. No doubt, entrepreneurship is profit generating but yet responsible to give back to the society, and develop civic sense and character building characteristics.

He lauded the initiative of the Vice Chancellor  and expressed the hope that it will go a long way in preparing useful entrepreneurs for the country who will not only be able to turn up successful businesspersons  to earn their own livelihood honorably but would also help the country for strengthening of its economy.

He added that ICCI would be happy to share the award-winning ideas with the business community for giving them practical shape for the promotion of export oriented products.

Dr. Anila Kamal, Vice Chancellor Women University, in her keynote address, encapsulating the essence of the RWU-1: IDEA FEST-2024 by emphasizing the pivotal role education plays in reshaping societal norms, said that the University is focusing on the skill development of the students to enable them to become job providers instead of job seekers after the completion of their education.  She said that the basic cause of this competition was to motivate the students to establishment of their business and become successful entrepreneurs.

She expressed her gratitude to the ICCI for extending every help to the University for the Promotion of entrepreneurship.

Former President ICCI and Secretary General United Business Group Zafar Bakhtawari said that women empowerment is much needed for the development of the country, therefore they should come forward and demonstrate their skills and emerge as successful businesspersons.

President ICCI along with Dr.Anila Kamal and Zafar Bakhtawari also distributed cash prizes, awards and shields among the winners.

On this occasion ICCI executives Ch. Maqsood Tabish, Ch. Mohammad Ali, Malik Nadeem and Zia Ch. were also present.
