During Hajj, more than 500 pilgrims died due to extreme heat

During the current Hajj season in Makkah, at least 577 pilgrims died due to heat. According to foreign news agency, 323 of the pilgrims who died due to heat are from Egypt, while 144 are from Indonesia. According to Khabar Agency, 60 pilgrims from Jordan and 35 from Tunisia died due to heat, while 11 pilgrims from Iran and 3 pilgrims from Senegal died due to heat during Hajj. Khabar Agency informs that the temperature in Mecca on Monday It was recorded up to 51.8 degrees Celsius. It should be remembered that the Saudi Meteorological Department had predicted extreme heat during the Hajj season this year and accordingly, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has provided water for the pilgrims. Fountains and cold water were arranged. Apart from this, the Saudi administration had also instructed pilgrims from different countries to take precautionary measures to avoid heat.
