The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) is pleased to announce a promising development in strengthening international relations and economic collaboration. The proposal by Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh President FPCCI to link Islamabad and Washington D.C as Sister Cities was put forward by Mr. Malik Sohail Hussain Chairman Coordination FPCCI, during a significant meeting with Ms. Nina Albert Deputy Mayor of Economic and Planning Development of the District of Columbia.
This proposal was warmly received by Deputy Mayor Albert, who expressed her willingness to consult with the US Department of State to explore this exciting opportunity further. Mr. Malik Sohail Hussain highlighted FPCCI’s pivotal role in facilitating this potential partnership by bridging the governmental connections between Islamabad and Washington D.C. He emphasized the significant benefits such a relationship could bring, fostering closer cultural, economic and social ties.
