Pakistan’s National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution condemning the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza. The resolution also expressed condolences to Haniyeh’s family and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The session, presided over by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, began with the suspension of the routine agenda to focus solely on the issue. Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, who moved the motion to suspend the agenda, emphasized the need for a unified message to the world, stating that the entire house was united in its condemnation.

During the session, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to Haniyeh’s family and the Palestinian people, calling the killing a major setback to peace efforts.
He emphasized the need to address the Palestinian issue, denouncing the ongoing human rights violations and the disregard for international law in Gaza.
