Delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami, led by its leader Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, met with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim. The primary purpose of this meeting was to discuss steps in support of the Palestinian people and to develop an effective global response against Israeli aggression. During the meeting, both leaders agreed on the need for the leadership of Islamic countries to take immediate action to stop Israeli aggression.
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman appreciated the Malaysian government’s efforts in caring for injured Palestinians, and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim extended an invitation for him to visit Malaysia. The meeting also addressed issues faced by Pakistanis residing in Malaysia, with a request for special measures to resolve them.
The meeting took place in a friendly and informal atmosphere, where Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim fondly recalled his student visits to Pakistan and his meetings with Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba and Syed Abul A’la Maududi.
