FBR’s Revenue Collection Details for November Revealed

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected a total of 836.8 billion rupees in revenue in November. The target for revenue collection in November was 1,003 billion rupees. During the first five months of the fiscal year, FBR faced a shortfall of 356.4 billion rupees.

According to media reports, the details of FBR’s revenue collection for November have been released. In November, FBR collected a total of 836.8 billion rupees, falling short of the target by 166.2 billion rupees. Refunds amounting to 35.3 billion rupees were issued in November. Of this, 367.1 billion rupees were collected as income tax. The total tax collected by FBR in November amounted to 770 billion rupees, including 344.2 billion rupees from GST, 98 billion rupees from customs duties, and 62.9 billion rupees from federal excise duties. When refunds are included, the total collection for November reaches 872 billion rupees, resulting in a revenue shortfall of 131 billion rupees for the month.

In the first five months of the current fiscal year, FBR collected 4,279.6 billion rupees in tax, while the target for this period was 4,636 billion rupees. FBR faced a shortfall of 356.4 billion rupees during these months. In this period, 204 billion rupees in refunds were issued, and 2,028.5 billion rupees were collected in income tax.
