The Special Communications Organization (SCO) has established over 60 software technology parks in Azad Kashmir. SCO has also created the first freelancing hub for disabled individuals in Azad Kashmir, specifically designed to train young disabled people and enhance their skills. This hub provides a special environment and facilities for internships. The Director General of SCO, Major General Umar Ahmed Shah, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), inaugurated the state-of-the-art freelancing hub at the Nobel Foundation in Muzaffarabad. The ceremony was attended by Commander 1 AK, Brigadier Qaiser Awan, Sector Commander Azad Kashmir Colonel Yusuf Javed, Chairman TEVTA Chaudhry Fareed Ahmed, Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division Masood Ur Rehman, Director IT, Director Social Welfare, parents of disabled students, and SCO officers.

DG SCO stated that disabled individuals are endowed with various abilities by nature, and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to serve them. The freelancing hub is equipped with state-of-the-art computers, high-speed internet, and 24/7 power backup, providing specialized training for disabled individuals. This is the first revolutionary step to bring about a revolution in the IT world for disabled individuals, allowing them to showcase their skills globally, just like other young people.

The Director General of SCO also expressed the commitment to bring about an IT revolution in Azad Kashmir and expand the Nobel Foundation to transform it into a model institution for disabled individuals. The Chairman of TEVTA Azad Kashmir, Chaudhry Muhammad Fareed, also assured that they would collaborate with SCO to launch IT training courses in the sector.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Nobel Foundation, Hassan Gilani, along with other officials and disabled individuals, praised SCO for its contributions to promoting IT and providing services for young people in Azad Kashmir. He remarked that this is the only institution that has set a record by establishing over 60 software technology parks and a freelancing hub in just 16 months, benefiting over 1,400 IT professionals. The parents and relatives of disabled students expressed their gratitude to the DG for providing international-level access to students.
