As per the special directive of Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, a decision has been made to launch the “NADRA Mobile App” and establish 3 new regional offices. The Pak ID website will be closed starting from January 17. Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi stated that three new regional centers will be set up in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gwadar, and Gilgit-Baltistan. He further mentioned that all services will now be available through the mobile app, following the closure of the Pak ID website. The website had caused difficulties for citizens, especially overseas Pakistanis, who faced challenges in uploading scanned documents and fingerprints.

The Federal Minister added that fraudsters were using fake websites to assist in the creation of counterfeit identity documents, collecting personal information and attempting to misuse it. He emphasized that to combat these activities, the website would be shut down starting January 17. The Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have taken strict notice of these fraudulent activities, and NADRA, along with other institutions, is taking action against these elements.

Minister Naqvi further explained that the NADRA mobile app has been significantly improved and now offers a wide range of services, including National Identity Cards, NICOP, POC, B-form, FRC, and more. Citizens will now be able to complete all necessary procedures for identification documents from the comfort of their homes using the mobile app.

Additionally, the Federal Minister announced that the new regional offices would begin operations by March 31. The establishment of these offices will make it easier for NADRA officials and citizens to communicate, improving the speed of service delivery and complaint resolution. He also mentioned that by March 31, NADRA offices would be established in all the remaining tehsils across the country. Currently, there were only 19 tehsils without NADRA offices, and work is progressing rapidly to ensure that these offices are operational by the end of March.
