President Asif Ali Zardari has praised the exceptional performance of FTO Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah, during a session with the business community.
Lahore (Saba News) – Saif ur Rehman, Coordinator of the Federal Tax Ombudsman, stated that President Asif Ali Zardari has praised Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah, FTO, for his outstanding performance and emphasized the need to provide more facilities to taxpayers in resolving complaints related to irregularities in the FBR. Speaking at an awareness session with the business community, Saif ur Rehman mentioned that Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah informed the President about the achievements of 2024, revealing that a record number of 13,506 complaints were registered. A total of 12,914 complaints were resolved, breaking all previous records. This reflects the trust taxpayers have in the FTO. The FTO remains committed to addressing complaints against the FBR and its officials in line with government policy, promptly and at the doorstep of taxpayers. Major decisions made in 2024 included those benefiting low-income contract employees, teachers, and art students, providing relief to a large number of individuals with modest incomes. Saif ur Rehman stated that President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah and his team for their exceptional performance.
