Army Chief General Asim Munir, addressing the Corps Commanders’ Conference, stated that the hollow statements made by the Indian military leadership reflect their growing frustration, and Pakistan will respond to any adventurism with full force. The Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. According to ISPR, the 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, during which participants paid tribute to the timeless sacrifices of the martyrs of Pakistan Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and Pakistani citizens for the peace and stability of the motherland. The forum reviewed the current security environment, both regional and internal, and discussed the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary. The participants expressed solidarity with the determined people of Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, 5th February 2025. The forum strongly condemned the ongoing human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and declared them a grave threat to regional peace and stability. The participants reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiris’ struggle for their right to self-determination in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. The forum also emphasized the importance of international cooperation to address violations of UN Security Council resolutions.
The forum took strong notice of the recent reckless and provocative statements by Indian military leadership, labeling them irresponsible and harmful to regional stability. In his address, the Army Chief said that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stated that these hollow statements from the Indian military reflect their increasing frustration and are meant to divert attention from India’s internal turmoil and blatant human rights violations. Pakistan will respond to any adventurism with full force, InshaAllah.
The forum expressed deep concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by the Khawarij (terrorist groups) for terrorism against Pakistan and stressed the need for the interim Afghan government to take concrete and practical steps to deal with this threat instead of denying their presence. The forum made it clear that all necessary measures and strategies regarding Afghanistan and the Khawarij will continue to be implemented to ensure the protection of Pakistan and its people.
The forum also emphasized the need to accelerate socio-economic development initiatives in Balochistan to counter the fabricated narrative of deprivation. It reiterated that no one will be allowed to disrupt peace in Balochistan. The nefarious designs of foreign-backed proxies to mislead Baloch youth and promote extremism will be thwarted with the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan, InshaAllah.
Appreciating the operational readiness of all formations, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of mission-based training, enhanced military cooperation, and the conduct of joint exercises in both conventional and counter-terrorism domains. At the conclusion of the conference, the Army Chief reiterated that the military leadership is fully aware of the multi-dimensional challenges faced by the nation. With the full support of Pakistan’s proud people, the military leadership is determined to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities.
