Pakistan has achieved another milestone in increasing investment and business activities by establishing and inaugurating the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad. Federal Minister for Investment Board, Privatization, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, along with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, were the chief guests at the inauguration ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan stated that today is of great significance for the people of both Azerbaijan and Pakistan, especially for the business community. The joint Chamber of Commerce will facilitate investment matters in one place and further strengthen mutual cooperation between the two countries.

He emphasized that sustainable development depends on strategic relations and cooperation, and there are unlimited opportunities awaiting both nations, marking the beginning of a new era of trade and innovation. He mentioned that he has visited Baku three times in the past year and affirmed that the bond between Pakistan and Azerbaijan is deeply rooted in the hearts of their people. Their shared cultural heritage and warm relations have kept both countries united in every test of time.

Abdul Aleem Khan assured that Pakistan would provide all possible support to Azerbaijan’s business community and take joint measures to boost the export of Pakistani products, for which this chamber will play a key role. He congratulated Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov and his team on this significant achievement, appreciating their efforts and expressing confidence that bilateral relations would strengthen further in the coming days.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador, Khazar Farhadov, in his speech, acknowledged Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan’s deep brotherly sentiments toward Azerbaijan. He emphasized that both countries are taking steps to enhance bilateral cooperation and, through this Chamber of Commerce, aim to increase the existing $2 billion investment and trade volume.

President of FPCCI, Atif Ikram Sheikh, and Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, welcomed the establishment of the chamber. They stated that Pakistan’s business community would introduce Pakistani products in Central Asian states while also welcoming business groups from Central Asia to Pakistan.

At the end of the inauguration ceremony of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the chief guest, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, cut a cake and extended congratulations to Azerbaijan’s ambassador and other attendees.
