ICCI President Commits to Addressing Business Community’s Challenges Shahzad Abbasi pledged to work diligently for the betterment of the business community.

President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Nasir Mansoor Qureshi, has emphasized the urgent need for unprecedented unity among the business community to address their challenges, streamline the ease of doing business, and contribute to the country’s economic well-being.

He made these remarks while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of Super Market Traders Welfare Association, where Chairman Founder Group ICCI Tariq Sadiq administered the oath to President Shahzad Abbasi, General Secretary Saqib Abbasi, and others.

The event was attended by a large number of business leaders, including former ICCI Presidents Zubair Ahmed Malik, Zafar Bakhtawari, Khalid Iqbal Malik, Shaukat Masood, Ejaz Abbasi, and Khalid Javaid, as well as ICCI’s Senior Vice President Abdul Rehman Siddiqui and Vice President Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry.

Highlighting the challenges faced by traders, industries, and service sectors, Qureshi stressed that while ICCI is actively engaged in discussions with key decision-makers, bureaucratic hurdles remain a major obstacle. He reiterated that ICCI serves as the second home for the business community, urging members to regularly engage with the Chamber to voice their concerns and seek solutions.

Chairman Founder Group ICCI Tariq Sadiq reaffirmed the group’s unwavering commitment to serving the business community without discrimination. Former ICCI President and Council Member Abdul Rauf Alam also called for greater unity among traders to strengthen their collective voice and resolve business-related challenges effectively.

Expressing gratitude to his supporters, President TWA Super Market Shahzad Abbasi pledged to work diligently for the betterment of the business community. Similarly, President All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajraan Ajmal Baloch praised ICCI’s role in mediating disputes between tenants and property owners, while President Markazi Tanzeem-e-Tajran Kashif Chaudhry raised concerns over the lack of a balanced rent control act in Islamabad, which continues to create insecurity among traders.

The event concluded with a collective resolve to foster stronger business unity, advocate for policy reforms, and enhance Islamabad’s commercial environment to ensure sustainable growth for the business community.
