Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that death of former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan’s brother, Shakeel Ahmed is a great tragedy and his martyrdom in such a manner raises a serious question about the entire system.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman expressed these views while addressing the large gathering at the funeral prayer of former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan’s brother Shakeel Ahmed.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved family, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman prayed that Allah Almighty grants the deceased the status of martyrdom and bestows patience and peace upon his loved ones.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman in his speech also spoke about the curse of drug addiction, stating that several such incidents have occurred in the country, but effective measures are not being taken to curb them. He urged the government to take strict action against drugs to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Former Emir Jamaat-e-Islami, Sirajul Haq condemned the killing of an innocent person, calling it a great injustice. He expressed deep sorrow over the tragic martyrdom of Shakeel Ahmed Khan.

On this occasion, Mushtaq Ahmed demanded that his brother’s killer be arrested immediately.
It is noteworthy here that Shakeel Ahmad was killed in the firing of his neighbour during a meeting held for settling an issue between two groups. According to police, deceased Shakeel Ahmad was killed near his house in a village of Sawabi when his neighbour opened fire in a reconciliatory meeting.
Sawabi DPO Muhammad Azhar said the killer was an addict and mentally unfit. He also killed his father. He added Shakeel Ahmad went to a meeting for reconciliation when the suspect opened fire, killing him on the spot. The killer fled after the incident. Police launched a manhunt for the fleeing killer.
