A meeting related to TIP matters was conveyed here at MOIT today where matters related to Revitalization of Telephone Industries of Pakistan were discussed. The meeting was attended by Federal Secretary IT Mr. Azmat Ali Ranjha, Member Telecom Mr. Muddasar Hussain, Member HR/IT Mr. Tahir Mushtaq, Member Legal Ms. Ameena Sohail and MD T.I.P Mr. Zia-ul-Haq and other senior officials from MoIT & TIP.
The meeting agreed that TIP management should prepare Expression of Interest inviting interest for local manufacturing of mobile phones and smart meters at TIP. We have adequate land and infrastructure besides a skilled manpower there and an EOI for the purpose should be floated soon to materialize the revitalization plan,
The Minister was apprised by the MD TIP that extension of contracts of 122 employees working in TIP Schools & Hospitals have been granted till 30th June, 2016 in compliance with the directions and approval granted by the TIP Board earlier. She was also informed that Riaz Ahmad & Co. Chartered Accountancy firm has been appointed as “Auditor” by completing all codal formalities and approval in this regard has already been accorded by the TIP Board.
