The local business leaders and members of business community have shown great concerns over the uncertain future of Pak-Turk educational institutions as many news are appearing in the national and international press about the likely closure or transfer of the these educational institutions across Pakistan.
They said that PakTurk educational institutions are well-known for imparting quality education to their students as compared to many public and private schools and colleges in many cities of the country including Islamabad. They said Pak-Turk educational institutions are also grooming their students with commendable character and values. They said due to their high standard of education, many representatives of local business community have been supporting these institutions and sponsoring merit-based scholarships for their deserving students.
They vouched for the non-political stance of PakTurk educational institutions as well as their staff and students. They said that the portrayal of these educational institutions in the national press as a part of political strife affecting Turkey was a cause of great concerns and they appealed to the national leaders of Pakistan for not letting these Pakistani-based schools and colleges maltreated and persecuted for sheer political purposes.
Atif Ikram Sheikh President, Sheikh Pervez Ahmed Senior Vice President and Sheikh Abdul Waheed Vice President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry stressed upon the government to take immediate stock of the concerns of business community over the uncertain future of Pak-Turk educational institutions and take tangible measures to remove their apprehensions and fears. They said that any disturbance to Pak-Turk educational institutions would put the future of their students of these at risk and government should come up with a clear stand on this issue to remove the stress of students’ parents due to ongoing stories in the media about these institutions.
