Federal Investigation Agency on Thursday revealed that teenagers arrested in connection with playing the Blue Whale challenge were actually not playing deadly game.
“The boys were actually playing a different game”, FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing Deputy Director confirmed to media.
The FIA official said that teenagers were playing a game called ‘Snapshot’. The game revolves around users challenging each other to different tasks and setting bets.
The initial investigation revealed that 14-year-old , took his mother’s phone, made the video of the ‘kidnapping’ and uploaded it on social media.
However, once the video surfaced, FIA wrote a letter to Interpol asking for information regarding the video. The FIA nabbed the suspects on the directives of Ministry of Interior.
