Special Communications Organization (SCO), largest Telecom Network of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir organized a Tree Plantation drive at Gilgit-Baltistan. Saplings of Orange, Deodar and Lukkot trees were planned. The ceremony was attended by Ms. Samina Baig, famous mountaineer and Brand Ambassador of SCO as chief guest. In addition, Mr. Fida Hussain Secretary IT, Mr. Faiz-ullah Khan loan, Director Education (GB) and Mr. Khadim Abbas, Forest Conservator (GB). SCO officials & employees, Students of different schools and families participated in the event.
The event was held as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, through which trees are being planted at different locations of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The purpose of the event is to create awareness about healthy environment and encourage people to plant trees.
