IRAQI PRIME MINISTER’S ALSO VISIT INTEND TO PAKISTAN IN FUTURE, AND THIS WILL BRING BOTH THE TWO COUNTRIES CLOSER, SAID QURBAN ALI

Iraqi Ambassador to Pakistan Hamid Abbas Lafta said that the Prime Minister of Iraq will visit Pakistan soon. Pakistan-Iraq relationship will be more strengthen including enhancement of mutual trade and resolution of  issues which will eventually facilitate to the investors. Pakistan and Iraq are Islamic brotherhood countries and it should be the priority to bring the people and traders of both the two countries more closer and accordingly the volume of trade increase between the two countries.

H.E Hamid Abbass Lafta expressed these views during a meeting with Qurban Ali, Chairman, FPCCI Capital Office, Islamabad, at the Iraqi Embassy in Islamabad. The Iraqi Commercial Consul and other officials were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, Mr. Qurban Ali, Chairman, FPCCI Capital Office and Iraqi Ambassador Hamid Abbas Lafta discussed to improve the bilateral trade, visa issues and arrangement regarding visit of the Prime Minister of Iraq to Pakistan. Mr. Qurban Ali emphasized to increase bilateral trade and strengthen the between the business community of both the countries. He said that Iraq is importing fruits, pharmaceuticals, perfumes, cosmetics, textiles etc. from Pakistan. He also said that,  cement, construction materials and other textile products could also be import and Iraq could also  in invest  in the energy sector.

Mr. Qurban Ali, said that the visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister to Pakistan is very important for both the countries and both the countries should take full advantage of this opportunity. He said that the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry intended sign a  Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Iraqi Chamber of Commerce to promote Bilateral relationship and close ties between the business community. Qurban Ali also briefed the Iraqi Ambassador regarding visa and other issues facing by the Pakistani business community and visitors.

On the occasion, Ambassador of Iraq Hamid Abbas Lafta assured that the visa issues would be resolved and said that on priority basis. he will lookafter the issues of business community of both countries. He also said that The exchange of trade delegations between the two countries would boost trade, and open new era of business in both the countries.
