The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing a two day Women Entrepreneurs Exhibition on March 11 & 12, 2022 in its Export Display Centre from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The innovative and handmade products of women entrepreneurs would be displayed in the exhibition to showcase their export potential. The exhibition will feature embroidered rugs, table runners, furniture, gems & jewellery, clothing for women and children, gardening items, pottery, paintings, footwear and women’s health & hygiene, pets and publications. Stalls of State Bank of Pakistan, First Women Bank, Food Panda and Daraz will also be set up to facilitate women entrepreneurs. The university students have been given space to set up their stalls in the exhibition and display their innovative projects. The food courts will also be established for the facilitation of visitors.
In his statement, Muhammad Shakeel Munir, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that women entrepreneurs are producing many handmade products that are well-known for their good quality and unique designs. He said that the main purpose of organizing the exhibition is to provide them a good platform to highlight the standard and quality of their products to the visitors and improve the prospects for growth of their businesses. He said that promoting the women entrepreneurs is an important priority of ICCI and the Chamber would try to organize various training programs for women entrepreneurs so that they could use online platforms to promote their business at local and international level.
Jamshaid Akhtar Sheikh Senior Vice President and Muhammad Faheem Khan Vice President ICCI said that Chamber would continue to take initiatives for promoting women entrepreneurs so that they could play more effective role in the economic development of the country.
