JKLC made representation to G20 member’s along with guest countries on behalf of Citizens of Jammu Kashmir, reminding G20 members that Jammu Kashmir is under forced occupation and requested their delegations to boycott the Summit if held on the soil of Jammu Kashmir, they were further reminded the outstanding UN Resolutions of 1948 promised to Citizen, yet to be implemented, Citizens have patiently waited for past 75 years on understanding that issue will be resolved peacefully, one cannot guarantee that future generations are willing to wait another 75 years.
JKLC stated that any bilateral agreements between Governments of Pakistan and India over Jammu Kashmir post 1948 are NOT RECOGNISED by Citizen as being the CORE party to internationally recognised dispute, moreover the question of Jammu Kashmir still remain unresolved.
Indian claim was based on alleged instrument of accession allegedly signed by government of Jammu Kashmir and government of India on 26th October 1947 for three points only.
1) Defence 2) Communications 3) Foreign Affairs
While other states merged into India, Jammu Kashmir did not, with passage of time under barrel of gun autonomy was reduced systematically.
On 5th August 2019, India unilaterally revoked the very alleged agreement between Governments of Jammu Kashmir and India ending her claim as party to the dispute, India has no right to remain on soil of Jammu Kashmir let alone of hosting G20 SUMMIT on a foreign territory which is not part of India, moreover it is fact that India is illegal occupier through force of gun.
Current uprising since 1989, Indian forces martyred over 150,000 innocents Kashmiris to suppress the indigenous freedom movement, with tens of thousands female of all ages gang raped, with mass secret graves, untold fake encounters, political leadership detained, Human Rights Organizations and other NGOs banned with complete media blackout.
Member Countries were requested to BOYCOTT G20 SUMMIT (if held in Jammu Kashmir) as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to capitalise on the miseries of Kashmiri people and pushing our people toward dead-end which could be very counterproductive for all concerned and destabilising region into armed conflict.
